Gideon Hatch has been dealing in hand made rugs since 1985 working with private clients, interior designers and architects, supplying antique and contemporary decorative rugs in traditional and modern styles for domestic and corporate interiors. A training in fine art has more recently led to an exciting collection of contemporary design rugs derived from his paintings.The rugs combine the traditional craftsmanship of Afghan and Persian weavers using the best hand spun wool and dyes with modernist designs, retaining the characteristics of natural colour shifts in the weaving known as ‘abrash’ and the weaver’s interpretation of the design.The rugs are available from stock or can be ordered in custom sizes and colours. Rugs can be seen by appointment at the showroom in Battersea, or at regular shows and exhibitions throughout the year in London. News
